I'm taking EDHI9040 in an attempt to become competent with classroom technology. I frequently fumble around with SmartBoards and crash powerful computing clusters. While I expect this course to remedy only one of those issues, it is certainly a step in the right direction. Further, distance learning via online courses is become increasingly prevalent in higher education and I don't want to become a fossil before I receive my Ph.D.

  1. Jeremy,

I feel the exact same way. I am definitely not technologically blessed, so I understand fumbling with some of the common things that we encounter, especially while TAing. I'm hoping that this class will help us both stay in the loop on the new and emerging things... Keep your fingers crossed for us both.

  2. Fumbling is a way to learn! Asking ourselves, "what does this button do?" and exploring in new tools can give us ideas that we may not have had before. As long as it's not my football team, I'm all for fumbling!
